Approximately 98% of domestic violence victims also experience financial abuse. But, what is financial abuse? How do we protect ourselves before we become a victim?  How do we mitigate the damage caused by financial abuse in our relationships as we move forward?

In Swahili, Imani means “faith” and today’s episode in our Girl, I’ve been there too series” is about holding firm that while we don’t know the path ahead we must continue to have faith – faith in ourselves, in our children, in those we trust to get us through the process, and in our beliefs that hold everything together.  In this episode, the guest I call Imani shares with us:

The impact faith may have on your marriage or divorce
Why setting boundaries for engaging with family and friends during a divorce is critical, and
